Part Time Invigilators(Not Available for UOWD students):

The position of Invigilator exists to manage the supervision of internal and external examinations held at the University of Wollongong in Dubai, based at Dubai Knowledge Park.   This is a casual, part-time role.

Invigilators are required during the months of March – July and October – January each year.  Hours of duty will be between 0830 hrs – 2300 hrs, when exams are organised.  Priority will be given to candidates who are available for all three Sessions - morning (start time between 9:00-9:30 am), afternoon (start time between 1:30-2:00 pm) and evening (start time between 6:30-7:30 pm) sessions.

Remuneration for exam invigilation is AED 50/hour for morning and afternoon exams and; AED 60/hour for exams starting after 1800hrs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Invigilating exams held at the University ensuring compliance with all Policies, Rules and Procedures.
  • Assisting with examination process and providing administrative support when needed
  • Attending training sessions in relation to the examination and invigilation processes
  • Providing feedback on the examination process
  • Delivering an excellent level of customer service
  • Perform duties as required by the Registry Officer and Examination Administrator





Qualifications Required:


  • No formal qualifications required as full training will be given


· Applicants must hold a valid UAE visa and, a No Objection certificate from their sponsor

· Work experience: prior work experience preferably in a school/university environment

· Excellent level of spoken English: ability to deal with students and answer frequently asked questions

· Customer Service: able to present information clearly and logically

· Team-working:  Able to deal professionally with other invigilators and students in a pleasant but firm manner and to make constructive contribution to the team

· Interpersonal skills: able to deal with challenging circumstances

· Able to meet deadlines/keep to a schedule

· Ability to adhere to procedures and policies

· High level of alertness and responsibility

· Highly organized and able to handle difficult situations

· Customer friendly and can do attitude. Should not have been a student at UOWD for the past four years


  • Prior invigilation experience
  • Arabic speaker

Note: All new invigilators will be required to attend a mandatory training session each year.
