The Nursing programs at the university of Wollongong in Dubai includes both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate degree programs. The UG program is the bridging program and is for nurses with a diploma degree wishing to upgrade their educational qualifications to a bachelor level in order to be eligible to obtain/maintain Registered Nurse status in the region. The Master of Nursing program aims at preparing nurses for leadership roles in the health care systems and the qualification is ideal for clinicians seeking to advance their careers. The program aims to provide an academic avenue for professional development, knowledge and comprehension of research and the application of evidence-based practice. 

You will be expected to provide academic quality within the University by maintaining high standards of excellence in teaching, research and administration and in the undertaking of professional/community service activities relevant to Nursing discipline.

The primary focus of an Assistant Professor’s role at UOWD is to contribute to the development and delivery of high quality teaching within their department, school, faculty or other organizational unit and interdisciplinary areas.

In this role, you are also expected to have a record of scholarly research and high-quality publications in the relevant field. To qualify for the above role, candidate must have the following qualifications

• A PhD/Professional Doctorate 
• Must hold a Registered Nurse License
• Experience in clinical nursing practice
• Teaching experience at an internationally recognized institution
• An active researcher in the field (or related field) with publications in recognized international journals
• Fluency in the English language (both spoken and written)
